Heli Ernits is estonian oboe player, a member of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra (since 2009) and also working on solo- and chamber music projects.
Heli Ernits started her studies of oboe in 1999 at Heino Eller Music School (Tartu, Estonia), having played flute before. 2003-2010 studied she at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (Bachelor and Master diploma) with docent Olev Ainomäe and Nils Rõõmussaar, 2006-2009 at Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe (Bachelor diploma) with Prof Thomas Indermühle. At the moment she is doctoral student at the Estonian Academy of Music.
Heli Ernits has successfully taken part in competitions: she won the 1st prize on the IV International Competition „Jūrmala 2008“, the 2nd prize on the Competition for Estonian Wind Instrumentalists in 2008 and in 2012, the special prize of Estonian National Symphony Orchestra on the Competition for young estonian soloists Con Brio in 2010 and competition for the Yamaha stipendium in 2012. As a prize of Con Brio she performed oboe concerto of B. Martinů with Estonial National Symphony Orchestra and conductor D. Raiskin in October 2011.
